Frequently Asked Questions
Everything parents and students ask us about SAT prep at Y2 Academy Parsippany.
What is the Y2 Academy Score Guarantee Program?
Students who complete the program and don't reach a 320-point improvement receive 18 additional days of instruction at no cost. It covers Digital SAT programs only, not ACT. Full terms are on a consultation call.
Where is Y2 Academy Parsippany located?
We are located at 108 US-46, Parsippany, NJ 07054, serving students across Morris County and North Jersey, including Parsippany, Morris Plains, Denville, Boonton, Mountain Lakes, Randolph, and Morristown.
How much does SAT prep cost at Y2 Academy?
Program pricing varies by course format and duration. Book a free consultation at our Parsippany center or call 973-566-5193 for current pricing and enrollment options.
Do you offer a free SAT diagnostic test?
Yes. We offer a free full-length SAT diagnostic test with a detailed score report and personalized study recommendations. You can register on our website or call to schedule.
When should my child start preparing for the SAT?
Earlier than most families expect. Early Decision and Early Action deadlines fall around November 1 of senior year, so a student who wants one retake needs both attempts by the October SAT. Sophomore summer is the easiest time to start.
How many students are in each class?
Ten at most, at both campuses.
Are classes in person?
Yes. Classes meet in person on Saturdays at Parsippany or Bridgewater. The practice portal and homework are online, so students work on them at home during the week.
What materials are included in the courses?
Official-format full-length practice tests, the workbook, and a login to our practice portal. All included in the course fee.
What free SAT resources do you offer?
Our website offers free full-length SAT practice tests, an SAT Question of the Day, root-word flashcards, vocabulary and English puzzles, a math mastery lab, an SAT score predictor, a college admissions calculator, and 8th-grade readiness games for middle schoolers.
How do I choose the right program?
Mostly by test date. Fall (Sept to Jan) suits students testing in March or May. Spring (Jan to May) suits May, June or August tests. Summer suits August to October. ACT is rolling, so start any Saturday. A 30-minute call sorts it out.
