Three passages, around four hundred words each, all written for this page. Each is followed by five questions in the same order every time — main idea, inference, vocabulary in context, detail, and author’s purpose — so the five question types become familiar rather than surprising.

There is an optional stopwatch. It records how long the reading took and nothing else — it does not stop, and it does not affect the score.
